Monday, August 12th
We had a busy evening with swim lessons and a board meeting. We had about 45 minutes in between the two and were able to snag some dinner.

After a rough few days, we decided we needed to do something together as a family….the whole family! So, we went to see The Lion King. (This was actually part of a Father’s Day gift that the kids and I had planned. You can read more about that here.)(coming soon)
That evening before swim lessons, I went swimming with the kids during rec pool time. David was super excited!
Today was transfer day down in Arizona for Elder Juarez and Elder Tarr. After 6 months together, these two missionaries are parting ways.
They have become really good friends and there is a possibility that they might serve together again, in the future.

Wednesday evening after swim lessons, David came out of the pool worried that I hadn’t taken any pictures or videos of him during his lessons yet. He really wants to show his daddy all the cool things he has been learning.

Today, our house was being shown right around lunchtime. So, to the park, it was, along with a 12 pack of tacos. It actually ended up being a nice time, eating lunch out in the sun.
I was sure to have my camera out at the beginning of swim lessons, as this was the last day of the session.
In this first picture, I had just dropped these little cheesers off at the bench where they wait for the instructors. In this second picture, I had already taken my seat and David still had a big smile on his face. He was sooo happy!
David is so proud of himself! Thank makes me happy and I am proud of him too. I’m also proud of this little swimmer below, as well.
As we were leaving the Y we saw a family we know from church. Ashley and their daughter Valaria were excited to see each other. Valeria ended up coming home with us.
These two girls have become good friends lately. They were also in the same longhouse at girls camp. I hope they will be able to remain good friends, if we end up moving.

Today we did Emily’s baptism photoshoot!! I haven’t gone out and taken pictures since Jose’s senior prom. Sometimes I forget how much I enjoy photography until I am out doing it.
She is my last little princess!
Saturday, August 17th
Today we drove out to meet up with my Grandma Sandy. The girls will be spending a few days with her. I believe this is kind of becoming a tradition, as they both went do to visit her for a few days last summer too. Jose also left today with his best friend Jonny, to spend a few days up north with Jonny’s dad.
Sunday, August 18th
Church was nice today, but felt odd to only have David and Ian with us. We have a new primary president, who I know will do a wonderful job. She met with all the teachers today. I enjoyed the meeting. You can tell that she really cares about the primary children.
I received these pictures from my grandma today. The first one is the girls with my cousin Brian. (my mom and his dad are siblings) Therefore, he and my girls are 1st cousins, once removed. I believe they have met one other time, but Ashley and Emily probably don’t remember. He stopped in at Grandma’s for lunch, on his way out of state.
In the second picture, my grandma is wearing a shirt that says, “I’m not superwoman but I’m a great-grandma, so close enough!” 😉 We love her! She looks so pretty in this picture too.
We had a 6pm showing of our house this evening. Carlos packed a picnic dinner while I tidied up. Then we headed over to a playground at a local school. This is the 4th showing of our house this week. Hopefully, we will get an offer soon. If this is part of Heavenly Father’s plan for our family, it will all work out. 🙂
Thanks for sharing, i enjoyed the pictures and the comments.
