2nd Week of May

Sunday, May 7th

I love these cuties. They are cuddling up while watching Spirit.

Thursday, May 11th

The boys had their first district game today. They tied 1-1 and went to a shoot out. This was a very exciting and intense game.

Some friends from church came to watch the boys play and they took this video of Carlitos taking his penalty kick. Way to go Carlitos!!!!! He was the 2nd one to take a penalty kick in the line up. We won the game in pk’s 6-5.

Friday, May 12th

This morning at Emily’s school they had an event called, “Muffins with Moms.” They have it the Friday before Mother’s Day. I was glad to be able to be there with Emily for it. When Ashley was in kindergarten, I was lucky that her babysitter (a friend from church) was nice enough to go with her, since I was working back then. I feel so blessed to be able to stay home now and to be a part of special moments like this one.

 

 

Saturday, May 13th

Jose is #21 and right in front of him with the ball is Carlitos. I love seeing these two brothers play together. Jose was right there to back Carlitos up.

The boys had their 2nd district game today. It was 2.5 hours away, and I was able to pick up my grandma along the way so she could come and watch the game too. The boys ended up loosing 0-1, but I am pleased with them for getting 2nd in districts. 2nd place for the southwestern part of our state is pretty good! Now they are on to state next week!

Grandma, the younger kids and I enjoyed having dinner together after the game and spending a little time at her house before we headed home again.

Another good but busy week is in the books. I will be trying to be better about taking pictures next week. 🙂
