3rd Week of December

This was a busy day for the me and the kids. I had a doctors appointment and then we did a little Christmas shopping for daddy. ? On the way home we stopped at the post office to ship Grandpa’s (my dad) presents.

Once at  home the kids mellowed out on the couch, watching disney junior and having a snack of goldfish crackers. I think Emily has really been enjoying the free time of Christmas break. Later that afternoon, Carlos had a doctors appointment. Afterward went to pick up the ingredients to make ponche and a gift for the boys. Carlos decided to stop and get KFC for everyone for dinner, since it was getting kind of late and we still wanted to have family home evening. Back at home, Jose had the lesson / activity. He planned for us to watch a new LDS movie called, The Christmas Project. It was a cute movie that is good for all ages of children. The whole family enjoyed it.

This was a super busy day as well. The belt on our dryer had broke the day before, so we had a repairman due to come out to our house at 10. Plus, my aunt & uncle and 2 of my siblings were coming up from out of state to visit and were due to arrive at 11am! dsc01672Here is everyone. Photo credit goes to Jose’s friend Jonny. He had stayed the night at our house on Tuesday night and was nice enough to take a picture of all of us. Our friend Cindy and her daughter April also came over to see everyone. Maria and Alex both had birthdays this week so everyone was extra excited to see them. They were given a few presents while they were here. Their visit did not seem to last long enough, but we were happy to see them. They also were going to be visiting my mom too. I am hoping that we can drive down and visit them sometime.

The kids have had more time to get their chores done, now that we are on break. Here is Ashley doing the dishes.

img_20161222_171225The boys have been enjoying having friends over to stay the night during break. On Wednesday night, these two boys, Dylan and Brayden stayed the night after their basketball game. Here they are having dinner before leaving to another basketball game.

Below are some shots that I got of Jose at the game. He is #23. The first picture was taken right after he made a basket.dsc01678dsc01695dsc01700dsc01710Jose scored 16 points during this game. He did a great job!

I have to admit, it is hard trying to take pictures at sporting events, while sitting in bleachers and wrangling 2 little ones. My camera actually fell once. Luckily, the bleechers were not that high up. I am hoping to get a new camera before my teenagers are out of high school. I feel kind of bad, because the camera I have is only a year old. I think I need a camera that can take fast action pictures and has a setting to take multiple images at a time…and definately a strap that I can put around my neck so the camera doesn’t fall! ?

Below are some shots I took of Carlos. He is #54.

Carlos played a good game too. He scored 3 points.

dsc01709They won their game 69 to ? I can’t remember what the other team’s final score was.  This was an away game and we are glad we drove out to see it. Way to go boys!
