Sunday, February 12th
I took both of these pictures on Sunday evening. Emily is such a cuddly little girl. She has been this way since she was a baby. I love that she still comes up to us and snuggles up. We had been watching a movie, and David fell asleep at the perfect time….right before 8pm!
Tuesday, February 14th ~ Valentine’s Day
Valentine’s Day was a busy day for me!I helped out in Emily’s class in the morning. I spent most of the time helping kids fill out their little Valentine’s cards and helping them put the cards into the mail boxes. Then I had to run some errands, have lunch and put some finishing touches on my valentine’s for my family.
I went over to Ashley’s school for her classroom Valentine’s Day party. She is a wonderful big sister, she shared her candy and juice with David. I don’t spend as much time in Ashley’s class as I do in Emily’s. It was nice to be able to be in Ashley’s class that day. It is getting harder to take David in to her classroom, since she is getting older and he can be a distraction in a 3rd grade classroom. By the time school was out, David was definitely ready for his nap!
That evening, my husband took our family out to dinner for Valentine’s Day. Emily loved her yogurt with strawberries.
Here are Carlos and Ashley with their Valentine’s from me and Emily is holding a card from her grandpa. ❤
Here are some cute shots of David with this little heart that I made, and one of the roses that Carlos gave me as part of my Valentine’s gift.
Thursday, February 16th ~ Carlitos’ Birthday
Here is my birthday boy before leaving for school. We let him open one gift the night before, so that he would have this new shirt to wear to school.
After school, he opened his gifts while David finished taking his nap.
Next, it was out to dinner.
Once we were back home, we sang happy birthday and ate some delicious cheesecake. For me, it is hard to believe that Carlitos has grown up lately. I hope he knows how proud of him I am and that I feel lucky to be his mom!
Friday, February 17th
Today at Emily’s school, it was hat day. The whole school earned this special day for good behavior. Jose was nice enough to let Emily borrow one of his hats.
This picture was taken after school, while Emily was doing her math homework.
Later on Jonny and Jose were playing video games. They just got a new game, called Rocket League the day before and David loves it. He calls the game, “cars.” He will sit with the “big boys” and hold an old play station control that doesn’t have batteries in it and he pretends to play. I thought it was cute.
Jordan and Jonny stayed the night for Carlitos’ birthday.
Saturday, February 18th
Carlos and I got up and headed out to WinCo for a morning grocery shopping trip. Next up was our cousin Sophia’s 9th birthday party. The kids all had fun skating. David liked holding hands while skating. He went around with his daddy a lot and even took a lap around the rink with his Tio Omar.
After the skating party, we headed up to the church. Carlitos had invited some friends up to play soccer and basketball in the gym for his birthday. There were 10 kids there and they all had fun playing together. They had cupcakes and 2 of them came to stay the night afterward. It was a week full of fun!
