Sunday, May 14th ~ Mother’s Day
Taking a selfie with two of my cuties on Mother’s Day. Each of my kids gave me their own unique gift. I love being a mom and couldn’t imagine my life without my kiddos in it. Mother’s Day turned out to be a nice day.Emily made this sweet sign for me for Mother’s Day. Isn’t it cute? All you need is some construction paper, popsicle sticks, buttons, glue, ribbon and a marker! At the bottom it says, “Home is where Mom is.”

Emily lost her very first tooth tonight at the age of 5 years and 9 months old! It was a wiggly tooth, but I think it still may have had some time left in there, probably another few weeks…if that. Here is how it happened. I was reading to the kids during family home evening. Emily had a pen in her mouth just above her loose tooth. David yanked the pen away in a downward direction, and all of a sudden Emily was bleeding and crying! Luckily, I was still able to find the tooth!
Excited for the tooth fairy to come. You can see her little tooth between her thumb and her index finger.

The high school boys soccer team is off to state!
I gathered up some moms and we met on the last corner of our town to cheer the boys on as they left for state. I asked my mom if she wanted to join us, and she took these pictures. We had pom poms and cheered on the boys as the bus went past. The bus was escorted out-of-town by a police car. It was pretty fun, even though it was pouring rain! Jose to the left. Juve, Jose & Carlitos above.
I like this shot below of Jose & Carlitos both running to ball.
Well, the boys lost in their first round of state. Going to state is such a fun and awesome experience. I am proud of them and all their hard work this season. Way to go boys!I love these boys!

Carlos took this picture from work this morning. There are 4 buildings where he works. Two on one side of the street and two on the other. One of the buildings across the street caught fire around around 4:30 am. No one was at work at the time, they don’t start until 6am.
Here is what the building looked like fully inflamed. (This picture is from a newspost.)
The picture below was my view from down the street.
I took my picture at about 6:30 am. It was so hard to believe. I felt so bad for Terry the owner, my husband and the other guys who work there.
It is just so devastating. No one ended up working that day. The cause of the fire was being investigated.
The building that burnt down was where the furniture was built, along with the owner’s office and a lot of tools and some expensive machinery.
Later that day when the kids were home from school, I took them on a bike ride (David & I walked), down to their dad’s work. Carlitos took these two pictures with his cell phone. Terry came out and talked to us for a little bit. I gave him a hug and offered our help with the clean up. I felt so bad for him, but thankful that no one was hurt.
Later that evening, we got out Carlitos’ beloved childhood train set. He helped David set it up and everything. I think David definitely takes after his big brother Carlitos with his love for trains.

Ashley and the Soccer Cubs had their last game today and they made it a win with a score of 3-1
I am also proud of these girls as well as their coach! 😉
Overall during their season, they lost three games and won 5 games. These girls did an awesome job!!!!
After the game, we had lunch with family! We ate at a buffet which was great because everyone was so hungry. We all left with full tummies! Thanks to Corina for a great lunch!David loved his ice cream cone!
