This night was actually at the beginning of the month and I haven’t had the chance to write about it until now. It is hard to believe that I have another senior in high school this year! If Jose decides to serve a mission, I could end up with two missionaries out on the Lord’s errand at the same time!
It was a nice evening and I was glad to be there for Jose. I wish Carlos could have been too. We are very thankful for his new job though. He was able to get to the school in time to see the last part of the basketball game.
They played a good game, but ended up loosing by 9 points. The team had a nice season and were able to make it to the district playoffs.
All in all, I am proud of Jose for sticking with basketball for all these years. He started to play in middle school, in 7th grade and he turned out for the team every year since then. This boy has my heart!
Here is an up-close look at Jose’s senior night poster. As well as the little gift bag I put together for him.
Here are some of the goodies I put in Jose’s senior night gift bag. The can with the yellow lid is actually a can cheese balls…since they look like little basketballs. I covered it in red construction paper and wrote some basketball words, along with Jose’s name and number. I also included some Gatorade bottles wrapped with orange paper, some cutie oranges and some peach cups that I decorated with a black permanent marker to look like basketballs.
