Each month, Carlos and I take turns spending some one-on-one time with the kids. For example in February, Carlos spent time with David and I spent time with Carlitos. Now, of course I’m not saying that we don’t spend one-on-one time with the other kids during the month, because we do. But these are like little dates, I guess you could say. Some of the dates are more exciting than others. Carlos played with David and he had a ball! They wrestled, did somersaults and played with the soccer balls from our foosball table. I spent time with Carlitos just talking for about 1/2. We talked about high school soccer, who would be on his “dream team,” how futsal was going, how his personal prayers were going etc. It is just a conscious effort to get some extra one-on-one time with a specific child each month.

Today I volunteered in Emily’s kindergarten class. I helped the kids make their Look Books. I always enjoy helping out. Here are Emily and some of her classmates before heading out to lunch.
Thursday, March 2nd
Both Emily and Ashley’s classes had pajama day to celebrate Dr. Seuss and read across america day. It was a fun day for the girls.
Friday, March 3rd
Emily fell asleep on the couch in this cute position. She has been really tired lately. The night before she had trouble sleeping because her legs had been hurting. I love my little girl. She has been growing a lot lately.
Friday night, Carlitos stayed up late working on his referee modules that he needed to take online. He was doing alright on most of the quizzes, but the last two he was having a harder time with. They were each worth 50 pts. My husband and I offered to help him, but he said no. I am proud of him, because he stuck to it and ended up getting a 50/50 on both of the final quizzes.
Saturday, March 4th
High school soccer practice started this week, so the boys and my husband have been quite busy. They had practice Saturday morning too. Then Carlitos went to the referee clinic and was able to re-certify!
The younger kids and I were enjoying a lazy Saturday at home. I found them cuddled up in a blanket, while Ashley read books to David and Emily. (If you are wondering why David’s onsie has been un-snapped lately, it is because we have started potty training. Snapped onsies make it hard to use the potty, but it is still cold out and I wanted him to have the extra layer.)
Sunday, March 5th
We had snow today! Here are the girls outside playing. They were super excited! There was actually enough snow to roll big snowballs!
I love what the trees look like with snow on them. Hope you all have a good week!
