Well, let’s just say November threw me for a loop! We had a lot of things going on and some appointments for Ian. It feels like the older I get, the faster time goes by. Well, here are some tid bits from our November.
Soccer Tournament
Ashley’s Soccer team participated in a tri-county end of the season tournament.
I love these two shots of Ashley playing goalie. This was the 2nd game of the tournament. In the first picture, you can barely see the forward from the other team who is past our two defenders. The forward is getting ready to take a shot. The second picture is of Ashley’s save. The girls did extremely well. They played four games and won all of them. They took first place in the tournament and went on to play in the state quarter finals.
Here is Ashley and part of her team eating lunch in between games. They are a fun group of girls!
Here is another shot of Ashley during the 4th game, after another save.
Here are a couple of girls from the team wearing their medals. What a bunch of happy girls they were after winning the tournament.
Cross Country Banquet
Carlitos had his final Cross Country banquet, as he is a senior this year. Here he is with one of his teammates. They were each voted the M.V.P. award for women’s and men’s teams. Carlitos also received the Captain’s award and a 4 year varsity letter award.
Carlitos and his coaches. They are both great coaches, and will be missed.
Here are some words from his coach, as he received his varsity letter. “Carlos is one of those people who I can always depend on to help out. I’m really going to miss Carlos. He has a personality that brings so much to the team. He works hard and leads in that way and he also leads just by being who he is as a person. He is a great leader. We are really going to miss him when he is gone next year.”
Now, I’m not sure if Carlitos will ever read my blog, but I have to say that I am proud to be his mom. I am going to miss being a cross-country a mom!
Thanksgiving
Well, I know this picture is kind of funny, but I think it is one of my favorite pics from Thanksgiving. We were just playing around, while we were in the kitchen. You can tell we were cooking, since I have an apron on. Anyway, I have much to be thankful for, not just on Thanksgiving, but every day of the year. Thanksgiving is a good reminder of that, for all of us.
Sweet Ashley assembled this cute meat, cheese and cracker platter. I helped her a little bit. 😉
Here is an up close look. We used Ritz Crackers, cheddar & mozzarella slices and summer sausage.
Here are some food pictures. We were missing some of our desserts, which were still in the refrigerator.
Jose asked for a picture with Carlos & I for his instagram Thanksgiving post. 😀 Love him!
Now its time to head into a busy December!
Love your blog! You do a great job with it. Keep it up!
