Easter Sunday
Sometimes, I give holidays their own post instead of including them in the weekly post because there are so many good pictures and nice things to journal about when it comes to holidays. 🙂 David with his Easter basket. Our stake conference fell on Easter this year, therefore we did not take many pictures that morning as we were all getting ready for church and the drive out to the stake center.
This is the kids with their cousin Edgar. He is actually my husband’s 1st cousin, so I guess that makes Edgar and our kids 1st cousins once removed? Anyway, he had stayed the night at our house and came to church with us in the morning. I was glad to have him, plus his mom (our aunt) has been wanting him to start going to church. (And yes, the Easter Bunny brought him a basket too!) 😉
Our family Easter picture, minus David. He fell asleep on the way home from church.
While our ham was in the oven, we had our egg hunt. Here are the little ones ready to go!
Considering all the rain that we have been having, Easter ended up being a gorgeous day. There was still a breeze, but nice enough to be outside without being cold.
Although sweet Emily fell down and hurt her foot during the egg hunt, they all had fun outside. They sat on the front steps eating candy for a few minutes afterward.
Time for Easter dinner! Everyone was hungry and ready to eat. David said the prayer, can ya tell? 😉 I was surprised at how much ham the kids ate.
One of our Easter traditions is to take a Spring walk and admire the beauty of the earth. We like to look for fresh new flowers that are blooming, which represents new life. Since our Savior was resurrected and we know that He lives again, Easter is the perfect time to take a spring walk and ponder these things.
I love both of my beautiful princesses!
Happy Easter ~ He is risen!
