Today was Jose’s last 1st day of high school soccer practice. I didn’t get any pictures of him or the team, but I did bake cookies and I dropped them of at practice. Go Grizz!
This evening for FHE Ashley taught the lesson. She taught the lesson to pass off something in her Faith in God for Girls Book. Originally, she had until her 12th birthday to finish up the requirements to be able to receive her Faith in god award. However, now with the change of kids going into YM/YW at the beginning of the
Ashley’s lesson was about how taking the sacrament helps you renew your baptismal covenant. She also taught about things we can do to stay faithful and keep that special covenant.

The last day of the month, and Jose and I still had not had our “date” yet. Unless, you count helping with homework as a date. He happened to have a doctor appointment, so we turned it into a mother-son date. After the appointment, we stopped at the auto parts store, to get a part for his truck. Then we got some lunch to go and ate in the high school parking lot and talked for a little bit. Little David was along for the date too.
After bringing Jose back to school, David and I had a little bit of a wait before preschool started. I brought 4 books with us and we read them all. So for the rest of our wait, we took silly pictures. David loves doing this.
That afternoon, Ashley had an orthodontist appointment. She has an adult tooth that is stuck up in her gums still and there is no space for it to come down. Her doctor is thinking of removing it and the same tooth on the other side and then placing braces to be sure everything straightens out. $YIKES$

Ashley and Jose attend birthday parties
I was proud of her for going, as she didn’t know many of the kids that were going to the party. A sidenote – the girl who turned 11 played on a rival soccer team. They became friends through basketball. I love how the girls were able to do that.
Jose went to his friend Randi’s 18th birthday. It is hard to believe Jose will be 18 soon!!! I love that they are still friends after all these years. Randi doesn’t go to school with Jose anymore, but they have stayed in contact.
Saturday, March 2nd
This evening we attended a spaghetti dinner and auction. All the proceeds support the high school band. Jose worked a total of 9 hours, between set up, serving and clean up. He did a great job.
We had gotten there late, as I had confused the time it started, but we still ended up with a candy basket and some home made banana bars.
That night at home, we ate some of our candy for dessert. Then we broke out some glow sticks and shut off the lights and let the kids burn off some energy before bed. They had so much fun!
This grandma loves your blog, please don’t ever stop. hearing about the H family’s activities!
