This is the first time since covid19 that our kids have gotten to play with other kids in our yard. They spent pretty much the whole day playing outside…..just like a summer day should be spent! The boys in the picture are Landyn and Ryder. Landyn’s family bought the house across the street from us back in April. Ryder is his best friend. They are both the same age as Emily.

Carlos took me out on an early anniversary lunch date today. After lunch, we stopped by a state park that is just a short drive from our house and walked one of the trails. I’m a lucky wifey! ๐
Later that night we had a BBQ for dinner.
Thursday, July 9th
Early this morning at work, Jose hurt himself with a pickaroon. I had been missing him a little extra, the night before too. I was surprised to see this first thing when I woke up this morning. I’m sorry he got hurt, but glad he missed his eye. <3 <3
This afternoon, Carlos and the kids got in a couple of episodes of Avatar before he had to go to work.
Now that homeschool is over, I haven’t been doing much reading with the kids….other than scriptures. So, each child and I picked a book to read together before bed while the others get to silently read in their beds. Ashley and I started reading the Boxcar Children tonight. Ashley could totally read this book on her own, but I think it is more about the one on one time. ๐
Friday, July 10th
Elder Juarez and the district today after their district council meeting.
It is hard to believe that my baby boy is going to be 6 years old in just 15 days! That is what I had been thinking about when I took this picture of him. Landyn joined us for lunch today in the backyard.
I love my hard working hubby!
Saturday, July 11th
David has been patiently waiting since we planted this garden, to be able to be the one to pick the first vegetable. Today was the day, as I needed green onion for what I was making for lunch. He happily hopped off his bike to come over. It took him a minute or two to be able to pull it up out of the dirt, but he did it and was quite happy about it!
After lunch, I got out a big bin or photographs and a big bin of picture frames. I spent all afternoon and evening working on cleaning the glass in the frames, organizing the pictures, putting them in frames and deciding where to hang them. Carlos was kind enough to take care of dinner for us. He and Emily went and picked up some oysters (a big treat for the girls) and some pizza too.
After dinner, Carlos helped me hang up some of the frames. This is the first wall we got done. It is in our Livingroom. Since we moved into our new home, I haven’t had the chance to do this yet. It felt really good…and looks good too! ๐
We finished our Saturday night with scripture study, the come follow me videos and latter day news.
Sunday, July 12th
Carlos and the kids today after having church at home. It was a happy Sunday!
I love the blogs and all the pictures! Keep it going please.
