Family home evening was a fun one. We had a lesson about Abinadi and doing the right thing. The kids made chocolate chip cookies for our treat.
We played a game with the children’s song, Dare to Do Right. Ashley had to find something wrong and make it right, while we sang the song quietly or loudly to guide her.
After playing many rounds of this game, David opened the front door to get some fresh air. Upon doing so he started exclaiming, “Sarah’s cloud! I see Sarah’s cloud!” Everyone came running to the door to see it. David was excited yet heartfelt as he looked at the sky in amazement with his hands on his cute little cheeks.
Sarah’s Cloud is a book that my grandma bought for Carlitos, Jose and Ashley after their great grandpa Orville passed away in 2009. We had actually just read it the week before for FHE

One of Emily’s assignments given by her teacher via google classroom was to get outside and go on a scavenger hunt. This came at the perfect time because I had a nature scavenger hunt on my list of activities to do with David last week, but we never got around to it.
berries rocks these were picked for me dandelions ferns
Emily’s teacher is awesome. Her assignment included the idea to put the found scavenger hunt items in an egg carton. What a cool idea!

Dentist offices in our area just opened back up from being closed due to covid19, just this week. Our kiddos already had their cleanings scheduled for today. Ashley was the only one with a cavity. Just a small one though.
We didn’t have out typical homeschool day because of the dentist appointments. I just had the girls complete their online assignments from their teachers and we skipped our group classes for the day. I decided to use the extra time to start preparing Elder Juarez’ next care package. I drew up this little sign and we took turns posing with it.

I’d say a successful morning of homeschool is when we finish it all before lunchtime. That happened today! Yay! We also had a tech come out to look at our furnace, as it stopped blowing warm air 2 days ago. We were worried we would need to replace the whole thing considering the age of the furnace, but we only need to replace a part….there is another yay for today!
We also put together this month’s care package for Elder Juarez. It didn’t really have a theme. We hope he will like it!

Today was probably the big event of the week from the kids’ stand point. They published their first YouTube video!!! They were so excited and still are!
What can I say? I love it!!! Love it, love it. Love you all so much. Thank you for all you do. Please don’t stop. I have the most precious grandchildren and great grands! Thank you Heavenly Father too. Love from Grandma Sandy
