October Highlights

Time has had it’s way of getting away from me lately! Yet, I am determined to write a family blog post here and there, when I can. So, here is some of what we did in October.

Carlitos had his last ever cross country meet on his home course. I am extremely proud of him for giving it his all. He placed 6th out of 65 and set a new personal record for himself. I’m glad I was there to see it all and show my love and support him.

The boys went to homecoming!

Homecoming 2017 Carlitos and his date, Sadie.

Jose with his girlfriend, Tauni. They are so cute together!

We were able to get our home school preschool going again.

This year we are doing “3-school.” David has really been enjoying it.

We were soaked at some soccer games…and at others we stayed dry. 😉

We made our annual pumpkin patch trip!

We celebrated my birthday!

We did some yummy fall baking this month! Try making Apple Breakfast Cake or Pumpkin Patch Brownies!

Carlitos took 9th place at his league championship meet and set a new personal record on that course.

We carved pumpkins. Daddy did an awesome job helping the kids with their pumpkins.

Carlitos had senior night for XC at one of the home football games. I put together these little treats for the 3 seniors who are on his team.

Carlitos had his final cross country meet at the district championships. It was a couple of hours from where we live, so my grandma was able to join us there. Carlitos placed 37th and set a new personal record for this course. I am glad we were all able to be there for his final run. I think he was holding back a few tears after the race. The realization that this was the end of cross country (he started in 7th grade) was setting in.

  1. Your boys have turned into handsome young men, but most important they are good young men. So glad I was able to attend that cross country meet. I so enjoy your blog and seeing your fun activities. Please keep it up! Love you guys so much!
